This sucker kept me going the whole way through. Like the first few chapters were breakneck pace and I could not breath. Excellent pacing throughout. The slower parts focused on the romance, and I could not get enough. Oh my gosh. They give me life. I can't wait for the next book. I need to see the romance develop.
This was just as enjoyable as the others in the series. I loved Max, and it was nice to see a kinder side of the misunderstood bad boy, Alex. I would have liked even more chapters. My favorite parts were the closet and hallway scenes.
This book is all above moving on from the past and being confident in who you are. She wants to be a city girl. He can't leave his family. But the both have lessons to learn from each other, and learning them may cause their picture of a perfect life to shift.
It's just one hit after another from these two authors. They really know what they're doing with the romance genre, and I hope they do some more co-written novels together.
Every book in this series has been a hit. I really liked Charlotte. She reads like an aspie, and it was so refreshing. She's not given a label and there's nothing that says she is on the autism spectrum, but if diagnosing fictional characters is a thing, total aspie. I can relate to her wanting direct answers and conversations rather than skirting around topics. Similar to myself, she will often start to answer a question trying to be vague and waiting for the other person to ask for more information before giving it up.
