Top 7 New Releases (May 9th – 15th, 2022)
With so many books releasing this week, it can be hard to chose what to read next. This list narrows the options to the top seven most interesting books. From what I can see, they are all either standalones or the first book in a series, so you can jump right in.
Kissing the Shy Guy (The Dangers of Dating a Diva Book 4)
Kissing The Shy Guy was so sweet. You have this mean girl with a bit of a reputation and then a shy guy who is a little bit of an outsider. He thinks that she is stuck up and selfish, but his sister has been sneaking around with her boyfriend, and now that the cat's out of the bag and she's been dumped right before the competition of a lifetime, he feels obligated to help. Then he spots her catering a family member's funeral reception and doing other things that make him question if she's really as bad as everyone thinks.
Kissing the Debutant (The Dangers of Dating a Diva Book 3)
I've read very few books about dancers but this one was great. It had a rich dancer who was pretty set on doing the exact moves and being completely technical and she was competing for an arts scholarship. But she didn't want to work with the choreographer her mom chose who was really stiff and wouldn't be able to push her. She doesn't want to continue to rehearse the same dance that her mom wants her to use to get into an elite ballet company. Instead, she wants to win this competition so that colleges can see her perform and she can have that as an option rather than making being part of a ballet company her life.
Kissing The Hero (The Dangers of Dating a Diva Book 2)
I loved the characters in Kissing The Hero the girl was shy but an awesome songwriter. The guy was an enemy of her best friend though he had no idea why, and he had to replace her when she got mono. Layne didn't want to work with him because she thought her best friend would be mad about her working with the enemy, and it became even more difficult when she started to notice maybe he wasn't such a bad guy after all.
